KZN235-Adjustment-Budget-documents-APRIL-2021

In terms of Section 28 of the Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act No. 56 of 2003 (MFMA): A municipality may revise an
approved annual budget through an adjustment budget.

In terms of the Section 28(4) of the MFMA: Only the mayor may table an adjustment budget in the municipal council but an adjustment in
terms of subsection (2) (b) to (g) may only be tabled within any prescribed limitation as to timing or frequency
